While I may have an enormous sweet tooth, and I’ll
gladly munch on just about any dessert out there, donuts have never really been
my thing. That is until I tried Donut Plant this weekend. The shop, which has
two NYC locations, sells jelly filled square donuts, yeast donuts, doughseeds
(which are like slightly larger, filled donut holes), and cake donuts, my
favorite. The carrot cake donut was to die for, and on future visits I’d love
to try the crystallized ginger donut, vanilla bean and blackberry jam square donut,
and the triple chocolate cake donut, don’t those all just sound amazing? If you’re
in New York, pay them a visit, you’ll be happy you did.
